A Successful Hunt!

Trevor was able to get his big kill in for the season. He was so excited earlier this year when he was able to "draw out" with only 3 points. (whatever that means)! I felt bad for him because his hunt was the week before finals. So not only did he have to hunt down an elk, but he also had to study hard! Luckily he did both very well! He hunted hard for a couple of days and shot this elk in a deep canyon so unfortunately he also had to haul it out. The bull broke a brow-tine (antler) when he crashed after being shot. The taxidermist said he can fix it.

The weird looking elk on the upper left is a "decoy". I guess you put it out and call for elks and they come! How exciting! Sorry for the awkward leaf in the picture but I thought it was better than elk remains.
I am so proud of him. He loves to hunt and even though we don't share that passion it is so fun to see him succeed at things he loves. WAY TO GO BABE!!!
