You did what?

So this month Trevor has decided to make good use of our brand new insurance plan. 5 days after we got our long awaited medical insurance all set up, I got a phone call while at work saying that Trevor was at Payson hospital with a broken arm. Lo and behold on the first co-ed softball game of the season Trevor was trying to make a catch and dove and his mit caught on the grass and he immediately knew that his arm was broken and walked to the dugout. He went to the hospital and they did x-rays and splinted his arm. Here is Trevor filling out the paperwork 1 week later at the orthopedist doctor. We were planning on getting a cast for him to wear for the next 6 weeks. Trevor had broken the radius and ulna. The doctor didn't recommend a cast, but instead he suggested surgery so that he would get all of his range of motion back. Boy, we were not excited.
Here is Trevor on Friday. We took him to IMC to have surgery. I kept asking him to smile for a picture, but he said "this is nothing to be smiling about." bah humbug!
Here is Trevor's new jewelry! 1 plate and 6 screws later.
Trevor is healing up well and goes back to school tomorrow. He gets to take off his splint tomorrow and gets to put on a small brace.
Thanks so much to everyone that has helped us this weekend. We truly have the best family ever. Kolten was so well taken care of by the Bradshaw's. Thanks to my mom and dad for taking care of our meals and our yard. Thanks to Jenn for watching Kolten while Trevor had surgery. I am so thankful for everyone. I hope that some day I will be able to serve them.

Photo Shoot

Our little Kolten is now getting so big! He is such a fun joy to have in our home. He is always going and talking! We just love it. At 16 months he is accomplishing a lot. His vocabulary is quite impressive. Just for fun, Trevor and I wrote a list of all of the words that he can say and it is over 70 words! I guess that is why he is always talking. He is also doing so well at sign language. He can sign around 20 words. He is such a daddy's boy. He loves anything that involves a ball. He also loves riding his 4-wheeler around outside. The latest thing that Kolten is trying to acheive is potty training. He is now using his new potty quite well and is good at letting us now when he needs to go. I am quite sure that we are far, far away from being potty trained but it is so cute to see him get so excited when he succeeds in the potty! He has also given up the bottle. He blows our minds every day by the things that he does and says. We love you buddy!!
