Let it Snow!
My parents bought the grandkids some shovels to help out in the snow. They thought that was pretty cool. Here they are posing for some pictures!

Pumpkin Patch 2010
We went to the pumpkin patch in West Jordan to pick out our pumpkins this year. It was pretty cold, but we managed to pick out the ones that were destined to become our porch decorations! Kolten thought that every pumpkin would be great! He was picking them out for everyone including his cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, friends, etc....... Thank goodness we didn't need to buy that many.
Bryton was mainly along for the ride! Such a good kid!
Me and my boys (I know I am biased, but they are pretty dang cute!)
Kolten was pretty excited to carve the pumpkins. This was the first year we really let him dig his hands in. He was only into it for a little bit and then just wanted to use the knife and carve random things into it.

Paige's Birthday
It was my little Niece's birthday on Oct. 3rd. She is in love with the Littlest Pet Shop and asked if I would make a cake for her. We decided on a jungle theme and this is what I came up with...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDY!!
Our little baby is 1!! I can't believe how fast time has flown. His first year has gone by way too fast for me. He is such a blessing in our home. He is the happiest little boy I know. He can always make me smile and always bring all the attention to him. He absolutely loves Kolten and loves to run around with him. He has some amazing blue eyes that you can't get mad at if you try. He loves to play with you and if you tell him no, he looks at you with the cutest little grin to see if you really mean it! He is walking like crazy and just within the last 2 weeks can walk across the room, turn around and almost run! He thinks he is pretty tough stuff now. He loves to climb on Kolten's bed and let Kolten bounce him up and down. I take him in for his well baby check later this week but think that he is right around 20 lbs. He is a total lunch gut and loves to eat. He is drinking out of a cup pretty well, every once in a while he dumps the whole thing down him. Kolten loves Bryton and tells him about 30 times a day how much he loves him. It will be so fun as they grow up to see them play together and take care of each other. Bryton loves to sing along at night during bedtime songs. He is getting to really like books which makes it a lot easier for story time. Bryton is still a Mommy's boy and I couldn't be happier about that and will take it as long as I can. I could go on forever about what a great boy he is and how much we love him.....Happy Birthday Buddy!!
We celebrated Bryton's Birthday with a party on Sunday. We did a monster theme since he is our little monster! We had such a great time and have the best family and friends. I always go a little overboard on parties and of course had to go all out for Bryton. We all picked our favorite monsters and sported some pretty awesome shirts! I just love Kolten's monster because it totally reminds me of him!
I didn't get pictures of all the decorations but here are a few that were spotted around the backyard.
We started off the party with a great BBQ and some yummy food.
Then we had the kids all make a monster hat! The kids are quite creative anddid such a great job.
We played some musical chairs to the "Monster Mash" and "Purple People Eater" and the adults even did a round. Of course the youngest adult beat us all! After all that fun we did some singing and cake. I didn't do a big fondant cake for Bryton because I wanted to try something new. So Bryton got a one eyed purple people eater cupcake and loved it. He was a little hesitant at first but soon figured out that this stuff was TaStY!!

I made cupcakes for everyone else with little chocolate pieces for them to make their own monster cupcakes. It was pretty fun to see what they all came up with. They had horns, eyes, ears, teeth, spot and arms for their monsters!

Like I already said, we have such great friends and family that are so supportive.

August-September Cakes
These are the three cakes that I was able to do in August and September
My beautiful, amazing, smart, and fun Aunt Mary had her wedding on Sept. 10th and I did this wedding cake. I tried to get it resemble a wedding dress. The ruffles on the bottom with the pearl decoration on the middle tier like the decorations on the top of a dress. The top tier with the row of pearls like a pearl necklace. It was a really fun cake to make. I originally thought that it would only take 2 dozen roses to get the look that I was going for but it actually took 6 dozen roses! My cousin Holly has a hobby of floral decorating and thankfully helped me get this all put together in time for the wedding!
I also did her grooms cake. Her husband Allen was a sprint car driver and so we did a fun little car for him. I had a couple of challenges with this cake and structure of it. At the last minute one of the fins broke in half and I had to improvise but overall I was pleased with how it turned out. Allen doesn't like cake and so the base of this is actually Styrofoam and the little black ball is actually a knob to a hidden compartment full of chocolate chip cookies!

I did this cake for a friends sisters wedding. It was really fun to make too! All of the zebra stripes are hand cut and you would think it was pretty easy but it is actually hard to have them all look different but still have some cohesion to the cake.
Orem Owls Game
Warning: All of these pics are from my cell phone and so they aren't the best, but still had to post them.
We bought these passes that gave us admission to the Orem Owls games, the Utah Flash games, both Trafalga's and a season ticket to Seven Peaks for the next year and so since this was the last game for the Orem Owls we thought that we would make it out to support them and have a fun family night. Of course Kolten had to dress in his baseball best and wear the helmet that Trevor won for him at Lagoon. He also took his mitt and attempted to catch every foul ball. We sat in between third base and home plate and so we were right on the edge of a net that stops the balls from coming into the crowd and so Kolten didn't have much of a chance to catch one. Luckily for us there are such nice people and this gentleman came and gave Kolten a ball that he had caught and Kolten was in hog heaven!
Trevor and I enjoying time together and squeezing in a pic of us!
This is about the best picture I could get of Bryton. He kept trying to grab the phone. He did so well during the game considering he hates to be held in one spot and wants to get down and explore. He sat on our laps most of the time and just watched all of the people around us and of course his constant entertainment-Kolten!
Fun Photos!
Just thought that I would post some of our fun photos from this last week!
Little Bryton is not so little anymore! He is such a lunch gut, I love it! He only stops eating when you stop feeding him. He is growing so much and ALWAYS so happy. Such a content and joyful personality!
My buddy Kolten changes outfits about 10 times a day. This is his rodeo cowboy outfit. He can't just pretend that he is a cowboy. If he is talking the talk, he must walk the walk!
His staredown! You are scared of this little fellow aren't ya?

The two cutest boys ever!! Notice how big Bryton is getting..... He is going to weigh more than Kolten pretty soon.

Race Car
Trevor reminded me that I have forgotten to introduce to you our new toy. I love yard sales and drag the boys with me several times a month to check them out. Kolten finds something at every yard sale that he needs and that we have to explain that he doesn't need, Trevor finds something at most yard sales, and I rarely find my great find that I am looking for. So I think that me taking them is actually costing me more money than if I just went by myself......but never as much fun! So this particular Saturday we were out just finishing up with the yard sales heading back home when we came upon one right around the corner from our house. Trevor immediately spotted this speed demon and was drooling. Funny history about this car is that my Dad's company has a raffle every year or so and raffles out these little go-karts. This is one of them that a boy in his ward had won and says that he has outgrown it. Although Trevor is about 3 feet higher and 50 lbs heavier than this boy he thinks that it is a perfect fit for him. He kept telling me that it was for the boys and how much they would love it. I told him that we should go home and talk about it. We pulled into our driveway and Trevor decided that it was a find he just couldn't pass up and immediately ran over and bought it. He paid $200 for it, which actually is a fantastic deal. We have had it for a couple of months now and Trevor and the kids absolutely L.O.V.E. it! They take it for rides several times a week. Bryton is ecstatic to ride in it and Kolten is always asking for rides. The neighbor kids have even enjoyed several laps around the neighborhood. Trevor said that since his Dad would never buy him one his kids get to have one, but I think it is more for him. :)So please welcome our best yard sale find of the year!

Camping 2010
We went on a fun camping trip up Spanish Fork Canyon this summer. We were joined by Grandpa and Grandma Bradshaw and the Reids. We had such a great time. It was our first time camping with Bryton and he was such a trooper. We stayed in the Bradshaw's trailer and had fantastic accomadations. We spent the weekend fishing, swinging, singing by the fire, roasting marshmallows, eating, eating and of course eating! No better way to spend ones time.
