Meet Mr. Amazing! (AKA Ed)

This is Ed.
Full name is Edmund Sciore (pronounced "Shorey")
He is my husband as of April 19th.
He is amazing!
Our story is my favorite so I figured I would share it :)

Obviously so much has changed since my last post and it's not just my last name.  I was in survival mode back then.  I was super happy to be at the point that I was and surviving good on my own with the three boys but it was definitely tough.  I don't regret getting a divorce. I still think it was the best thing for my kids and I.  Some people know the ins and outs of my divorce but lets just say it wasn't the cut and dry divorce that I was hoping for. I didn't know what to expect for the boys and I in the months and years to come.  I just knew that each day was one more day that I could show the kids how much I loved them and provide them with the things that they needed and I wanted to have no regrets with how I did that. So that was my focus!

Back to Mr. Amazing!  Ed and I worked together about 5 years ago at IMC hospital in the Emergency Room.  We had a great crew there and work was fun and we always had a great time.  Him and I worked together for a little over a year.  Got to know each other while working together in a normal co-worker kind of way.  When IMC quit using agency we both went our separate ways. We would do the usual Happy Birthday messages on Facebook but that was it.  I occasionally wondered what had happened with his life but never put too much thought into it.  Well during my divorce when I was putting on the pounds during my pregnancy Ed shows up at Lakeview hospital to work in the Emergency Department!  It was fun seeing him again and catching up on life while at work.  After I had delivered Daxton Ed would text me and ask how I was and so on.  When I went back to work we would chat as usual.  He even once would tease me about getting back into the dating scene and actually tried to set me up with his roommate. I wasn't really ready to get back into dating.  How does one even date after a divorce?? I had no clue and didn't even want to go there.  I was good on my own and was really just enjoying the motherhood thing.

Well eventually Ed texted me asking if I would want to meet him for breakfast and grab a quick bite to eat.  We met up, had a blast laughing and reminiscing. Daxton hung out with us for breakfast and afterwards we went our separate ways.  That happened a couple of times over the next while.  I happened to end up back in the dating arena somehow. After telling Ed about my first date he made a comment that he was hoping to get the first date.  Totally shocked me but we laughed it off and continued being friends.  We had decided to go to the Haunted House together and from that date forward started our dating time.  I continued to date other guys and was having fun learning a lot of new things about myself. Dating is so different after you have been married for 9 years, it's different when you are in your 30's as opposed to 20's and it's definitely different with kids! Eventually our relationship got to a point that Ed was the only one that I wanted to date and soon enough the only one that I wanted to be with forever!  There are a lot of fun memories during dating and some good stories to hold on to. Let's just say dating a stubborn Mom with three kids isn't the easiest thing that Ed has probably ever done. ;)

Ed has always been someone that is just an all around great guy.  He has paved his trail during life and you can't find anyone along the way that has a bad thing to say about him.  He is a hard worker, treats everyone with respect, loves to show others that he cares, outright hilarious and obviously very good looking. I could go on for several paragraphs bragging about how amazing he is.  But the most amazing thing about him is HOW he loves my kids and I and how he treats us.  I never pictured that I would be married in 2013!  I thought that it might just be me and the kids forever.  I was fine with that and was enjoying it. Then walked Ed into our lives and has brought nothing but happiness with him.  We love him so much and are loving our new life with him in it! I couldn't be happier at this time in my life than I am now!
