Kolten is now old enough to play in an organized sport----aaaah! We signed him up for soccer this year since it was all he could talk about after seeing his cousins all play last year. Kolten and I went to the organization day and picked up his uniform and he has worn it almost every day since. Trevor and him have been practicing alot outside and Kolten was so excited for his first game. He didn't know what to think when everyone was there watching him. He kept running over to us to get a drink and say that he fell down or that he kicked the ball. It was pretty entertaining. He did stay with the ball though so we were pretty proud of him. When the game was over he ran over to me and I told him that he still had to go and give the other team a high-five so instead of going back over with his team to do a cheer for the other team he ran right into the middle of the other teams cheer to give them all a high five!

7 Months!

My little baby just turned 7 months! My how the time has flown. It seems like he is rushing through being a baby and just wanting to grow up to be like his big brother. Some fun things about Bryton and some things that he is accomplishing is.....
- He is cutting his 5th tooth. Yes that is right, his 5th! They just keep popping right out of those gums. I hate it because I can't just let him gum some foods because he just chomps a huge piece right off and then it is a choking hazard.
- He has been sitting up and rolling over like a champ now for a couple of months. He has figured out how to get to lying down from sitting up slowly and gracefully instead of just falling over. He is doing a little army crawl but hopefully won't figure out the crawling thing for a while now.
- He isn't really digging food that much. He likes his rice cereal and not too much else. If we mix his cereal with the other fruits and veggies then he will eat those too, but not just baby food right out of the container. He does love his little mesh feeder with some different things in it.
- He is all smiles! From the first second he is awake he is smiling at me. I absolutely love it! He smiles at anyone and everyone that will give him attention. With his big blue eyes and huge grin, he usually isn't hard up for any attention.
- He is a mommy's boy. Unfortunately I know that this will probably change sooner rather than later because Dad's are just sooooo cool, but for right now I will soak it up.
- He isn't sleeping all that well through the night unless I am holding him. He takes good naps during the day in his bassinet but doesn't want that for his bed at night.
Having two kids is definitely more busy, but I so love the two that I have been given and couldn't imagine even one day without them. Bryton has brought our house so much love!

3 Already!
3 Already!! Kolten turned 3 on March 13th! I just can't believe it. Kolten is one of our greatest blessings. He is our sunshine every day. He is so excited to be three and is constantly reminding us that he is three now. He says that he has to have three of everything (treats, books, songs, etc) now because that's how old he is. Kolten is so full of life and brings meaning to ours. Trevor and Kolten are just the best of friends and Kolten LOVES to do anything that Daddy is doing. Lucky for him Trevor is a kid at heart and loves to do fun stuff that always involves his little sidekick. Some things about Kolten at three years old......
Every morning he wakes up requesting Strawberry milk. Trevor and I are not the best morning people but we have abided to this request every morning and it makes for one happy camper!
He has started preschool and is doing so well. He loves that he goes to school like all of his cousins and absolutely loves his teacher. He is such a smarty. He can recognize all of his letters and can tell you what almost all of them sound like. He has always been such a good talker and does well in his class keeping up with the older kids.
He goes through about 4-5 outfits a day. He can't just pretend that he is a swimmer, he has to dress like one. We made a mistake and went to The Mayan for my birthday thinking that Kolten would enjoy it. He now dresses up as a diver daily and jumps off everything into his pretend water. He also enjoys to dress up as a boxer and punch his pretend contender, a soccer player, snowmobiler, and especially loves to be naked. My mom always wonders why I have so much laundry, but in a matter of minutes this kid goes from one outfit to another. He has such a great imagination, I just wish that he could imagine great costumes.
He absolutely loves books. We have always read to him for every nap and every bedtime since he was about 8 months old. He still takes afternoon naps (I know, we are really lucky!) and sleeps well at night too! We get about 30 books from the library every couple of weeks and by the time that we have to return them, he has most of them memorized and loves to read them back to you.
He loves being a big brother to Bryton.....sometimes almost too much :) He is always watching out for him and helping us with him. Kolten loves to show Bryton all of the fun that he can have with his toys. He likes to hold him and give him lots of hugs and kisses.
Kolten is a singer like his Dad and loves to perform. There has been several occassions now that he has entertained a crowd of people and absolutely loves the attention. He has really been getting into his songs lately and loves to make up songs with funny rhyming words and thinks that he is really funny!
Favorite cartoons are Scooby Doo, Curious George, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Chuggington. He gets a cartoon or two most mornings while Trevor and I are still trying to wake up.
We can't imaging our lives without this little ball of joy keeping us on our toes. Happy Birthday Buddy!!
Kolten 1 day old

We had a big Pirate Party for Kolten and had everyone dress up as pirates. We had such a great time and really enjoyed it. We had the kids decorate their very own treasure chests and then had a fun treasure hunt where they found their chest full of treats and surprises. We played games like pin the flag on the treasure map, Trap the Treasure, Captain Hook and Pretzels.
These are the invites that we sent out in the mail.

Kolten's Treasure Chest Cake made by Trevor and I. Everything is edible except for the bead necklaces and the three seashells. This was such a fun cake to make and it was so yummy!
Happy Birthday to Kolten....Happy Birthday to you!Tuesday, March 23, 2010

Congrats Grad!!
So on Wednesday, February 10th my awesome hubby graduated from nursing school. I am SO proud of him. He has done well throughout the whole program. It was great to honor him and the hard work that he has done to get this far. He takes his NCLEX on the 24th and then will officially be Trevor Bradshaw, RN!!! Way to go babe!!!
Cakes, Cakes and more Cakes!
We made three different cakes this month. It is a lot of work and causes our kitchen to remain a mess, but it really fun to see the end results.
The boys in on the fuN!
